How do I commission a piece of jewelry and what are policies and procedures?

Contact me in order to discuss what it is that you would like to have created for you or that special someone. We will work together with one to one designing. Once the design and cost has been agreed upon then it is policy to place a 50% nonrefundable/nontransferable deposit at the start of each commission able job.  Full payment is due once each job is complete. Refunds are not granted for returns however, depending on the piece and it's design the guarantee will come into effect. You may receive credit or an exchange based on the portion of the final payment for each piece. This is considered on an individual basis. You must contact me in witting within 30 days upon receipt of your piece of jewelry. I make every effort prior to the close of the job to see that you are happy with the design  as this is top priority.  Please take into consideration that these particular pieces are created with your personal preference. Each piece of jewelry designed with you, while fabulous in it's own right, may not suit the taste or preference of another thus making it a bit tricky to offer on line, at a show or an event.

What is the policy on commissioned wire custom designed items?

Please refer to the above ( commissioned  pieces / policy and procedures ) In addition to this policy. All wire designed and wrapped pieces are under a non refundable, non transferable, and non returnable policy.  Please keep in mind that every effort is made to achieve top quality and care in each design.  sterling / gold and GF wire once used in a design can not be altered. This is because once the wire is set it place any creases, bends or tensions are set permanently.  In addition, wire can not be melted down to incorporate into another design or with any other material therefore establishing the non refundable policy.  Any alterations in design due to securing material/wire may occur and are directly related to tension settings, protecting the focal point, and or due to the natural creation of the item.

What is the policy on items that are sent regular postage/regular mail?

Authentic Occurrence does not assume responsibility for any items sent via regular mail are at the sole responsibility of the purchaser. What are the metals that are used in creating each piece?

I take pride in what I do so quality is first and foremost!  This includes the production of each piece. You have taken the time to admire and “ become attached” so it is equally important to me to only use quality ingredients such as .925 sterling silver and 14k gold. 14k gold filled wire is commonly used on wire wrapped pieces as 14k gold is costly.

What is .925 sterling silver?

.925 sterling silver is primarily one of the purist forms of sterling silver used in today’s market place.  Under normal conditions it will not tarnish or turn black. Only lesser quality silver that include other alloys such as nickel or plating for example may cause this or the breakdown in elements to occur.  Therefore, I do not use these metals in my creations.  Noted, on occasion, if you have a high content of acid in your system, even .925 sterling silver can turn black and can be easily cleaned by using a polishing cloth offered on or gifts page. This will restore sterling silver to its original luster.

What does 14k gold filled mean and why do you use it with your wire designs?

14K gold filled wire is a professional jeweler’s grade wire. It will not tarnish, crack, chip, peel, or turn your skin green. Under normal circumstances it will last an entire lifetime. Gold filled wire is not plated. It is a tube of solid 14K gold that is then filled with jeweler's brass. Therefore the content of gold in gold filled is 100 times greater than the elements found in gold plate wire. The cost of my gold filled wire fluctuates with the daily gold market on the stock exchange.14K gold filled wire matches your solid 14K gold jewelry perfectly and is an alternate to compliment any 14K gold piece.
