My name is Janine.I am the founder of Authentic Occurrence®.
My private studio for designing wearable art and fine art creations using mixed media .
Here is just a little bit about how I got started and where the path has lead me.

Born and raised in Bucks County Pennsylvania, as a child, I have always had a devout interest in the Arts both applied and appreciated. A graduate of BCCC in 1984 I received an AS Degree in Fine Arts & Art History with a minor in Interior Design.
In August of 1984 I relocated to Key Largo, Fl and in 1999 I partnered with a friend & artist as an apprentice studying at a local shop in Islamorada.
It was here that I mastered my craft in jewelry design and applied technique.
By demonstrating my craft I have achieved many awards and am recognized throughout the art community. I am a member of the NAPW, Homestead Art Club, The Southern Handcraft Society, Brevard Cultural Alliance and have instructed classes for Michaels Art & Craft Stores.
As an accomplished artist and jewelry designer I have been selected to exhibit with many organizations, boutiques and provide donations to local communities and supported events. I regularly attend various art & craft festivals in locations such as Key Largo, The Florida Keys, Space Coast, Central Florida, Georgia,The Carolinas,Oregon and England,UK.
Intrigued by crystal formations and mineral specimens, I continue my studies in gemology. While working within many facets of the travel industry I've been afforded the opportunity to collect and observe some of the most amazing specimens from around the world.
With a little help from Mother Nature and a passion for the arts, in 2000, I then moved on to incorporate all and a whole lot of love into what is now known today as Authentic Occurrence®.
